Better'n TV

The Mister has a gig in a few weeks. This means he has taken out the violin and the mandolin and is practicing around the house. I love it!

This is one of his original compositions "Emerald Isle." It could just be that he is Irish and I am Scot-Irish, but this music touches us deeply.

Enjoy!

(I can't believe I learned how to do this! Whoppee! Pictures AND video?? OMGoodness.. nothing is sacred...)

  1. How very nice! It must be wonderful to have your own personal musician.

  2. Lovely tune. He sounds great. I'm a fiddler too, so I'll have to look it up on the Session. Does your husband know about that site? You can find many, many fiddle tunes in regular music script and tablature(sp?). They also give the recordings where you can find the piece. It's www.thesession.org. Enjoy!

  3. Ok...I need to read posts better! He wrote it!! It's beautiful. Now, I'll just have to listen really good and try to play a bit of it myself for fun. I don't really play out, just for my family. But I love it!

  4. Enjoyed the piece too! There is something special about 'on site' music in the house. I used to play piano, but I don't much these days. And I used to compose a little too.

After listening to the Mister, I'm inspired to maybe dust off my piano keys..... sooon!
