Joyful things are these:
Relishing the smell of fresh hoed dirt;
Watching a wisp of clouds on a breezy day;
Lazily gazing upon bees sipping from buttercups dotting the yard;
Giggling as cats snore;
Snuggling in fresh sheets while birds sing into the night;
Smiling to one's self when hearing a contented hen's song;
Pleasuring in the taste of iced coffee in the afternoon; and,
Hearing your sweet son's voice after days of silence.
What brings you joy?
Since I have had the bronchitis and sinus infection, I have had to sleep on the living room sofa so my head could stay propped up.
ReplyDeleteWell, Miss Victoria loves to sit on the back of that sofa looking out the window at all hours of the day and night.
I can't tell you how many times I was feeling down and noticed her furry behind draped over the sofa and her nose up against the window.
For some reason, that sight brought joy in the midst of darkness (a combination of how silly she looked and how serious she took her role as guard kitty).
Your last joyful thing is the "Joyful-est" isn't it!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy joyful thing today was watching Momma Mallard and her growing ducklings play/feed/bathe in the pond today. They are so fun to watch!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, I knew I'd find delight if I came for a visit. And sure enough. Just about everything on your list brings joy too!
ReplyDeleteI take great joy in Miss Kitty's presence. I feel bereft when she decides to curl up elsewhere. So I could totally relate to Brenda at CoffeeTeaBooks joy when she mentions Miss Victoria's furry behind draped over the sofa.
Matty, I'm posting your link on my Facebook, so others can take pleasure in your joy list!
Hugs and blisses!
I like your joyful things! It's really the little things that bring the most joy!
