I don't get it...

My friend E called a few minutes ago. Seems her husband was at their calf barn, located on a busy road, getting ready feed their calves. Three hunters stopped and something happened between them and her husband. We don't know what. The Sheriff didn't say.

He did say that her 73-year-old husband was beaten badly and being transported to the local emergency room for treatment.

Why?

Why did this happen?

What is wrong with our world that a man could be going about his business and some stranger can beat the tar out of him without so much as a by-your-leave?

How can these people even sleep at night?

How can anyone justify such a random act of violence against any other human being?

I just don't get it...

  1. Matty, I'm so sorry. This is just tragic and my heart hurts for you and your friends. My neighbor had a run in with some hunters last year. They wanted to hunt on her property and she has several horses that are corralled next to the woods. When she asked them nicely to leave and they got very upset with her and said some threatening things. She told me that she thought they had been drinking.

There is just no understanding why people can justify such cruelty. But I do believe that what goes around comes around and that no goodness will ever come to their lives again until they face what they have done, change their heart conditions and seek forgiveness. Even then, they will always have to live with the knowledge of their cruel deed. Hopefully the Sheriff will be able to find them and bring them to justice.

I'm so sorry this happened Matty and I hope that you will be able to rest tonight and that your friend will find comfort from his loved ones and heal quickly from his wounds. My prayers are with you all tonight. Delisa
