A Day of Blessings

image: allposters.com

Things are so tough in the world today, I thought it would be fun to have a "Day of Blessings." The rules are simple:

1. List five things you consider blessings.

2. Bless at least one person today. It can be anything: holding a door, sending a card, making a call, smiling, waving at another driver, or anything that might help someone have a better day.

Okay?

I'll go first.

I am blessed that:

1. The lights came on when I flipped the switch this morning.

2. Food was in my refrigerator when I opened it this morning.

3. My parents are still living and I can still talk with them for advice, encouragement, or a recipe.

4. I am extraordinarily healthy.

5. There are many wonderful, kind, loving, and funny people in my life.

There. That wasn't so difficult was it?

How blessed are you?

    I am blessed that

    1. And always number 1. The Lord has given me a wonderful, kind, and patient husband.

    2. I really like to sweep and do dishes (otherwise life would be pretty miserable!)

    3. Where I've finally settled has some of the most fertile land in the country.

    4. I live next to the prototype of Ma Kettle. Life will never be dull with her around!

    5. Last , but by no ways least, I've met so many kindred spirits through blogging. Like you!

  3. Perfect! I was just thinking about all my blessings too.... and here you share your own thoughts about it.

Count me in .... let's see:

    1. The furnace in my cozy house because there's snow on the ground today and the weather is blustery.

    2. Long-sleeved sweaters.

    3. Classical music playing on the radio.

    4. Sauerkraut potato soup for lunch and my dear Mom who made it for us.

    5. Blogging friends who remind us that there's so much to be thankful for in our world.

    Happy Day!

  4. That's a sweet idea! Let's see I'm blessed that:
    1. I have a wonderful supportive husband and great daughter.
    2. Even though I live in the suburbs I have a lot of land and can pretty much do what I want.
    3. by my dog Maxie who is such a good companion and so sweet and fun to watch.
    4. My pantry is well stocked
    5. I've met so many different types of people through blogging that I ordinarily wouldn't have a chance to get to know.

You are are a dear - thank you!
